Evie's Purple Gang - Summer Program

SUMMER CHILDCARE PROGRAM
Approx Mid-June thru August
Ages: 1-5

My goal during the summer months is to allow the children to enjoy all the fun that summer has to offer! We spend a great deal of time outside and parents have the opportunity to sign their children up for a variety of summer classes for which I am willing to provide transportation. At the end of April, I hold a parent meeting to discuss a list of activities that the community is providing. This is where parents can ask questions and learn how it all works. Each family has the chance to decide if they would like their children to participate in any of these activities. I need at least 3-5 children who would like to do an activity in order to provide transportation. The oldest child gets first choice due to a limit of car seat space for 5 children. I will be the driver to all of these off-site activities. Some typical activities include swimming, tennis, gymnastic and dance classes, Vacation Bible School, Safety Town and Wild Wednesdays at Van Hoosen Farm. These activities are geared for children three years and older.

No matter what age your child is, there will always be something for them to do. All the children who do not participate in these off-site activities will enjoy a fun, play based program including crafts, story time, singing and movement time, alternating with indoor and outdoor play. These children will be cared for by my summer helpers during the times that I am occupied with an off-site activity. They are all certified in CPR and First Aid Training which we do every year in May.

We have so much fun outdoors in the summers!
I have several playhouses and climbers as well as sandboxes, slides, cars, bikes, balls and endless activities. Sometimes we visit the neighborhood park for the swings and supersize slide and sandbox.

7. St. Paul's Vacation Bible School - 620 Romeo Rd., East of Rochester Road.

8. Bumper Bowling - On Tienkien near Papa Joe's

9. Gymnastics - Gymnastics Training Center (G.T.C. off Crooks between M-59/Auburn)

Wild Wednesdays at Van Hoosen Farm are a real treat. We have a picnic lunch and enjoy a special music or magic show. On warm days, the kids can enjoy the rest of the afternoon alternating between the water slides (courtesy of the Rochester Hills Fire Department), wading in the creek and just exploring the beautiful nature all around them!
